Story of Mr. Home Minister and ' The Meek Cat'

Mr Shivraj Patil our esteemed home minister has not been seen for long. He seems to be in a state of complete oblivion and hibernation. I can’t recall when I last saw him or heard of him on any sort of media. I had set out my investigation team on Google to figure his whereabouts and they have come back to me with some interesting facts.

He was last seen in the lawns of 10 Janpath, when a reporter asked him what he was doing there, he replied that he constantly dreams of 10 Janpath being attacked so he spends most of the time supervising the security at 10 Janpath. Being the home minister it’s his duty to look after the internal security of the country, but for him what could be better than 10 Janpath. As he has never come under attack from his party men even though Banaras, Bangalore, Jama Masjid and now Mumbai happened. Sole danger to him and his post can arise if 10 Janpath is attacked. Such is the power and aura of the residents of 10 Janpath over all congressmen. It’s undoubtedly the citadel of power and the only cause for all congress workers to live. For ages politics and sycophancy have gone hand in hand cutting across party lines. But the present lot of congressmen wants to out do what their predecessors in congress did as far as sycophancy is concerned. And 10 Janpath providing the best fodder it can to perpetuate such sycophancy.

In the past we had the likes of Sardar Patel, Morarji Desai, Balram Jhakar and L.K Advani holding the post of Home Minister. All the names mentioned above had an identity of their own and were so called people of strong will. Is our present Home Minister doing justice to the second most important post in the union cabinet?

Shivraj as the name suggests is the kind of lord Shiva (GOD of fury and destruction). But if you read or listen about Mr Shivraj Patil first thing you would think is a meek cat waiting for milk to come.

From Naxalite problem to frequent bomb blasts nothing seem to deter Mr Patil from leaving 10 Janpath. Please Mr. Home Minister it’s high time you thought beyond 10 Janpath’s security.

All in all apt time to blame the HM for the Mumbai blast, but there is something which else which also needs to be highlighed, failure of the indian govt to crack down on Pakistan to destroy all the terrorist org blossming under their regime, everyone is aware of the last year london blast and the accused agreed that he was trained in Pakistan, praise to the Indian IB who foiled lot of terrorist operations planned and who were caught agreed to be trained in Pakistan.
What is required is to have a global picture and the way terrorist org are surviving under the Pak regime – so called Musharaff…
It’s the right time for the Indian govt to position them as Hardliner and demand Pakistan to come down on all the terrorist org... (No doubt US and UK are always there to nod their head for the same) though not pressuring Pakistan…
